| About ICN |
| "To demonstrate the informed clarity that will allow business, government and other organisations to carry out assessments and make decisions through an impartial review of the differing aspects of ‘Intellectual Capital’, coupled with an understanding of the context within which they may occur.” The judgement of ICN is that, at this point in the development of Intellectual Capital it is too early to attempt to impose too rigid a framework or too narrow a view of this rapidly developing field. That is why the ICN has decided to seek to demonstrate ‘informed clarity’. This will be achieved through the rapid provision of globally applicable documents and other resources that acknowledge and build upon, rather than constrain, the richness of the Intellectual Capital discipline. The methodology of standardization preferred in this area is the identification of agreed common approaches and understandings leading to a ‘IC Framework of Good Practice and Analysis’, itself comprised of Guides to individual topic areas |
